Brussels, 9th and 10th October 2007: "ISLENET October 2007 Conference"
The Conference will focus on RES (RenewableEnergy Sources) and RUE (Rational Use of Energy) technologies that are more appropriatefor island communities with the view to building technology platforms that will strengthen inter-island cooperation.
ISLENET is a network of European Island Authorities which promotes sustainable and efficient energy and environmental management. It actively promotes the adoption of local energy saving strategies and renewable energy projects. These have an important effect on local economic development and involve a well-balanced approach to environmental management.
